6 long fangs-140

5 multi meltas

comes out to 1620 i do believe.

Few questions

1-should my wolf guard have bolters, bolt pistols, or a mix.

2-should that last fang squad have rockets or multi meltas. I think

mobile multi meltas could be the epitome of 'i thought wolves were an
assault army', and the list is loaded with missiles.

3-i can fill the rest of the points up with 3 solo wolf cav with

hammers, and 2 lone wolves with termie armor, storm shield, and
chainfist. does this seem liek the best way to go?

Hooray Loganwing and hooray e-mails.

I'm not a big fan of the giant 10 man squads, apart from 1 working as an escort for Logan.  I much prefer the 5-man set up for the added flexibility.  It's the MSU approach, bringing more units means you have more distinct threats on the board, can fire on more targets (really handy for stunlocking), and can effectively cover more ground (extremely useful since you have no transports).

1-I use pistols and ccw, simply because normal Wolf Guard are not Relentless and the extra attack is oh so wonderful.  What makes the Cyclone Wolf Guard units good is not just the 2 shot missile launcher they sport, but rather the fact that they can move up while doing so and deliver a fairly effective beat down to most units just through sheer weight of attacks.

2-If you go multi-meltas, you'll need a Drop Pod.  A 24" range isn't very handy, even with Relentless.  Otherwise, Missile Launchers and potentially Lascannons (for the S10 goodness) are the way to go.

3-The mini-HQs running up front as interference are incredibly useful.  They can tie down problem units, intercept charges, and pretty much make a mess of things.  I support that.

Got 4 games in with the army and 1 against over this weekend. Against mech guard, razorwolves, 5 wagon orks, and lash chaos, one against it with guard. Wow, I am amazed with how nasty it is. Even with horrible rolling (2 shaken and 1 weapon destroyed result against rhinos over 2 turns) the army just tears people up. Wolf cav are surprisingly tough, and very efficient. The "missile bukkake" can stunlock guard so fast its not funny. And the relentless melta fangs proved very amusing at times. I was expecting it to be primarily an alpha strike army, but it just wears people down.

"missile bukkake" is one of the best things I have ever read!
