Ghana should be pleased enough, since, just as with the German team, their target was NEXT World Cup (Brazil 2014) rather than this one, to hit their true potential. Ghana have proved themselves a team to watch in the future, and should be proud - not least since they were left unexpectedly flying the flag for the entire continent of Africa, and did not disgrace themselves in the least.
Oh I agree. They played extremely well and will only get better.
What pissed me off was whenever Suarez touched the ball everyone booed him. It's classless and really belies 0 understanding of the game. He was punished already, it's not his fault that Gyan fucked up.
Don't put yourself in that position and you won't have to worry about it. Suck less.
I don't think what Suarez did was wrong really. Obviously it deserved a red, but I'd have done the same. He, single-handedly (mind the pun) put his team through in reality. Henri's handball in the qualifiers is different, he didn't take a penalty for his wrong-doing.
But without the butt hurt, football wouldn't be as entertaining as it is. What else are we suppose to enjoy? All the sniper shots? Blah!
No-one mentions when Harry Kewell did it in the group games either, but maybe that's because they weren't everyone's new adopted favourite team then.
Total BS. I recall an Arsenal game in the FA Cup a few years ago (lol - few) when I was furious at Lee Dixon for NOT handling the ball on the line, and conceding the goal. We had David fucking Seaman at his peak! What were they going to do, actually SCORE the Penalty? Yeah, right. We went on to not win by some permutation - I do not recall the other details, just my seething anger. :)
Kewell didn't do it deliberately! Huge difference. The ref even apologised after the fact o.O. At least it wasn't as bad as "hey look the ball went in...oh the ref didn't call it game on!" German goalie :P.
