After that monster of an entry for HQs, Elites should be fairly straightforward, yes?
In most armies, the Elites section is where you'll find the heavy hitters, the go to units, the MVPs of the Codices. Stuff like Terminators, Fire Dragons, Lootas, and Hive Guard. These are the units that give your army teeth. Also you'll find Legion of the Damned, Mandrakes, Ogryns, and Stealth Suits. Utter shit. For better or worse, your Elites choices can make or break you.

Blood Axes revamped
Reading about Straken's performance for MVB over on his blog, I re-examined my first take on the Blood Axe Ork/IG army. Straken brings a lot to the table, making Guard actually worth a damn in HtH and being very capable of punching out his weight class. Perfect for my Warboss.
The list I put up before didn't have as much armor as I'd like and was overly reliant on 60 guardsmen getting into HtH. Orks try that too, and it doesn't work well for them either, does it?

Chumby's Definitive Daemon Discourse: HQs
In my previous article (that so many people read :P) I put out a general summary of how the Daemon army operates. Now I'll be going through each section of the FOC in more detail before putting up some sample armies. Won't that be fun? First up is HQs.
Daemons are really spoiled for choice with HQs. They have 15 separate choices in this slot alone, that's half the available choices in the entire army list. Daemons can also have up to 4 of them. Heralds, named or otherwise, can be taken 2 per HQ slot. It opens up a lot more options for fielding up to 4 out of those 15 picks. As a result, the HQ slot is easily the most hotly contested and has the most variety within. Like any army, your HQ picks influence the rest of your army, and with so much variety here you can make big changes just by swapping HQs.

2000 Blood Angels
cHey, I figured since nobody else is talking about the new Blood Angels Codex, I'll offer my thoughts and put up a test list.
Blood Angels have lots of cool stuff going their way, particularly in the way of characters, mobile mech, awesome jump pack units, new Dreads, and bunch of funky new rules. All this combines to make a strong, flexible list with a lot of options but still keeping its own unique flavor and not stepping on any other marine armies' toes (except Dark Angels of course, but nobody like us anyway, grumble, grumble).

Internet Blackjack
Because I can't think of any content of my own, I'll just post up somebody else's and take it as my own! It's genius, nobody has ever thought of it before. Like the actual game blackjack, I'll deal out wins and busts to all who deserve it. Hookers are blow are encouraged, not required.

Chumby's Definitive Daemon Discourse....IN SPAAAACE!
Daemons. They're a weird bunch. If CSM was the victim of the late 4th dumb down design paradigm, Daemons were the gooey fun bits left over, stapled together, prettied up and sent out into the world, which I guess means they're the benficiary? Anyway, we're left with a new Codex, first of its kind, with a unique style of play. Daemons are also in effect in WHFB, but that's another tale.

2000 Blood Axes
Ok, first draft of my proposed IG/Orks counts-as extravaganza.
I would really like to have Straken and I really don't want to have to buy much more, preferring to convert/repurpose what I have.
Straken is all about getting in close, so I figure a mixed mech army with emphasis on dominating midfield would suit him.

Fallout 3 DLC
My little brother just went on his school trip to Washington D.C., so I was inspired to play Fallout 3 again. Lucky me, Deal of the Week on Xbox Live is all Fallout DLC half off. I already paid full price for the first 4 (shut up, I hate you) so I picked up Mothership Zeta for 5 bucks. If you're gonna pick up DLC, this is a good time to do so.
I <3 Fallout, so more of it is always a good idea. Here's my experience with the DLC if anybody is on the fence.

Possible project? IG counts-as
Hey, lots of good discussion in my new Ork army thread. I feel so loved :D
Magicjuggler made an interesting comment about using his Orks with the Blood Angel rules, Blood Axes.
I saw this over on BoLS, an Ork army using IG rules. Huh, I mused, that sounds sweet. Then I check up on MBG's blog, Spiky Bitz. This and this was enough to get me thinking.
Well, since I don't like the current Ork Codex at all, but I love Orks, I though I could do something about it.

Orks revisited...again
Hey, let's talk about 40k for once, eh?
It seems like all I do is reimagine my Orks, must be me trying to find that needle in the haystack of suck :/
I do so love my Battlewagons, they're the best transport Orks have available. I know it's not saying much compared to Trukks and Looted Wagons, but I'm a fan of the BWagon. Good frontal armor, reasonable cost, and even with open-topped they can usually last long enough to drop off their cargo. KFFs are essential as always.

Irony WIN!
Catching up on things after getting stuck with work. Saw Reecius's shitastic conclusion and the usual drivel that followed.
This, in particular made me lol.
Bigred, in response to all the trolling (I guess raising legitimate and thought out questions counts, idk)

What updates?
I've been exceedingly busy as of late, working and going to school (both full time) is a major drag. It doesn't help that my lab is during my main 40k night so I haven't been to the FLGS since January. I've been playing when possible, but recently I've been up to my eyeballs in the vidya. I picked up Brutal Legend for about 15 bucks, loving that. I've been going through Dragon Age again in prep for the expansion. That all pales in comparison to the awesomeness that is...
Pokemon SoulSilver!!
Shut up, I hate you. Pokemon is awesome, this game is awesome. Nostalgia bomb for the ages (comparable to Leaf Green) and just the awesomeness of 2nd Gen. I've been looking stuff up, and surprisingly Pokemon has a big competitive scene, who knew? Now I can play through and maybe build up a tourney team, get awesome at that, and then I can call people stupid when they disagree.
Cyndaquil ftw
