Total-2500

So, we've got 7 shooty units to go after armor/MCs/infantry, 6 beefy cav units, and 6 cheap scorers. Waves can be split as needed, shooty and cav split up with PBs for padding. Drop in, blast/chop and zoom around the board.

The Blue Scribes would fit in quite nicely here as well, just drop the filler musicians and unholy might or a Flesh Hound. What you lose in survivability you get a wider variety of power, 2 per turn, including the ever so useful Pavane.

If you're looking for more speed, swap the Tzeralds for Sheralds in chariots and add more dogs. Losing 4 BS4 S8 AP1 shots may be well worth it when you considering how fast and killy Sheralds are, so it's a toss up.

I really think pavane is a must. i really think its just too good to not take in any list.

other than that, i love it.

It is indeed a handy thing, can't be stopped by hoods and those extra few inches can be a big thing. My problem with Blue Scribes is he only has 2 wounds and I have no unit for him to hide in.

Pavane is definitely a possibility if I were to do the 4 Sheralds.

I'm running a similar list for Ye Ol' Hard Boyz this year, but I'm fighting the temptation to add Breath to my Heralds and Daemon Princes...

What are your thoughts on that?

I think breath is very useful, so long as you've got mobility. On chariot Tzeralds it's great, not so much walking Princes. Breath is great for killing off squads that have just lost their transports or those few stragglers hunkered down in cover. In my list I use the Fiends and dogs for that, but breath can work too.

Somebody on LO was looking for a pure Tzeentch army, so I drew this up for laughs.

3x Tzerald w/ chariot, bolt, breath
Blue Scribes
3x 5 Flamers w/ bolt
6x 8 Horrors w/ bolt, add Changeling
3x DPs w/ bolt, gaze

At least, it was for laughs at first. I kinda like it now. Everything is capable against tanks and infantry (as best as Horrors can be, which isn't much tbh, but it's for theme), breath and bolt is all over the place, and even warpfire/daemonic gaze is out in numbers enough to hurt something. Not what I'd normally use, so I'm itching to try it out.
